The Holiness of Guarding Your Heart

Scripture: Proverbs 4:23 — “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

Devotional:
God never asked you to be everything to everyone. He asks you to guard the wellspring of your life. Boundaries aren’t barriers to love—they’re gates that allow love to flow in healthy, life-giving ways. Protecting your heart is not about pushing people away; it’s about stewarding the gift of your soul.

Reflection / Journal Starter:
What boundary could I set this week that would help me honor my heart?

Prayer:
Lord, give me the courage to guard my heart with wisdom and grace. Teach me to set boundaries without guilt, and to see them as Your design for my peace. Amen.
